Blast Soccer for 3-5 year olds - Spring 2025

The J's Preschool Soccer Program provides a safe and fun environment for children to become engaged with the sport of soccer in an age-appropriate setting. Participants will be introduced to the basic skills and rules of soccer through fun games and drills led by J staff coaches.
The 3/4-year old's do not play real scrimmages at this age but rather focus on basic skills and soccer themed activities. Parent involvement is required in the 3/4 group to help with certain drills and attentiveness.
In the 4/5-year-old program, more soccer drills are introduced, and game play is included. Soccer balls will be provided. A post season award will be included.
A shirt will be included in the 3/4 division and a reversible jersey for the 4/5 division. Players from the previous seasons will use their same shirt/jersey in the Spring. Teammate requests are accepted!
Sundays March 16 - May 4th (No Class April 13th or April 20th)
3/4 Blast Sundays 9:00-9:30 am OR 9:45-10:15am OR 10:30-11:00am OR 11:15-11:45am (choose your time)
4/5 Blast Sundays 12-12:45, 1-1:45, AND 2-2:45pm (Schedule will rotate weekly)
The program will take place in the indoor turf field at The J.

First Touch Soccer Program for K-1st Graders - Spring 2025

The J's Kindergarten/1st Grade First Touch Soccer program is our next step in introducing the game of soccer to kids at a young age. This will include learning the basic skills and introducing the basic rules/concepts of the game. The program has separate practice and game days. All practices and games are led by J staff coaches. A post season award will be included. Teammate requests are accepted! - Teams will be co-ed
- Practices will be held one night a week
- Practices are on Tuesday nights March 11 - May 13 in the indoor turf field at The J and will be led by our staff coaches
- Games will take place on Sunday afternoons at the J in the indoor turf field beginning March 30 and concluding May 18
- Rosters and schedules will be sent out shortly after the close of registration.
- Players from the Fall season will use their same jersey in the Spring season.
- First graders may choose from First Touch and Strikers programs (see below)

Strikers Soccer Program for 1st -- 6th Graders

The J's Striker soccer program focuses on working to improve both technical (individual) and tactical (team) soccer skills, and knowledge of the game. Strikers soccer is not defined as recreational or premier, but rather a combination of the two, so players hoping to eventually go competitive, or those playing just for fun both have the tools they need to succeed.
We form teams that are coached by our staff and are entered into local leagues. All practice sessions are located The J. Games will take place on weekends at community soccer fields. Staff coaches, league fee, jersey and an award included. Players from previous seasons will use their same jerseys in the Spring. Teammate requests are accepted!
1st/2nd Grade Boys / Girls (for more advanced 1st grade players; 1st graders also have the First touch program option above)
- Separate boys and girls teams formed if there are enough players for each and if the community league has enough teams for separate divisions
- Team practices will take place on Wednesday or Thursday evenings beginning the week of March 10th
- Games begin the weekend of March 29-30
3rd/4th Grade Boys/Girls

**Games for all age divisions will be scheduled on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons. Shabbat observance will be respected when assigning game times.

The J's Striker soccer program is launching a NEW Skills Development Clinic and a NEW Goalkeeper Clinic.
Soccer Skills Development Clinic
- J staff coaches will guide players through a series of drills to improve fundamental soccer skills, technique and build confidence on the field. The Skills Development Clinic is exclusively available to J Striker program participants as an add-on for those players that are looking for more than just the 1 day a week practice.
- The clinic will be on Monday evenings beginning March 24 and run through May 12
- 1st-2nd graders from 6:15-7:05 pm
- 3rd-6th graders from 7:10-8 pm
Goalkeeper Clinic
- This clinic is designed for goalkeepers in our Strikers program who are looking to take their goalkeeping to the next level!
- This clinic will be run by our Lead Coach – Stuart Rigby.
The clinic will be on Wednesday evenings (5:30-6:15 pm) beginning March 26 and run through May 14
- This clinic will focus on the fundamental techniques needed to excel between the posts. Skills that we will be taught include: diving and shot-stopping, footwork and positioning, handling and catching, distribution and decision making.
- Goalkeeper gloves, shin guards and sneakers/turf shoes are required.
Clinic Add on Fees: $55 per clinic
